New Deadline

My truck insurance needs to be renewed on March 10.

You read it here first, folks.

I will not insure that vehicle again. By March 10 I better have something different to drive.

You should pop over and see my computer moniter. I have 17 tabs open, each containing at least 1/2 dozen vehicles for me to consider. I started the process on Saturday. And after looking at all my options for 20 minutes my brain exploded so I took a 4 hour nap.

When I got up, the same 17 tabs were open and no decision had been made.

Same for Sunday.

And today.

Arrgghh. Why is this so hard? Why don't I just pick one and be done with it?

Do you know what kind of car you want to replace this one with? Are you at least at the picking colours/dealership stage?

When it was our turn to replace our car a few years ago, we went to Chapters and bought one of those magazines/soft cover booky things that rates all the vehicles out there. Safety, fuel economy, insurability, it gave inside dimensions (very important to two tall people)...by the time we'd done with that all we had to do was pick the ford focus within our price range. It was a lot more helpful than staring at dealership pages anyway....

a) You are entitled to a mid life crisis because you are in your mid life.
b) Your sons would finally have something to talk non stop with you about. In fact, you'd probably even get tired of them.

Answer: Buy a ferrari
