Thank You, September

How often does the average person walk over to their mailbox to retrieve their mail?
My mailbox is right across the street from my driveway.
I make that walk twice a month. All I get is bills and junk, so really there's no point going more often.

Yesterday was the big day. I trecked across the front lawn, wandered across the street, schlepped up to the box # 3- 13, opened my little door and voila - there is was. A book. From September whom I have never met. And the card that came along with it? Said this:

"With Easter approaching, it seems fitting to send this book to one of my favorite women. I bless you with knowing how loved you are - in heaven and on earth."

Thank you, September for providing me with something to blog about during The Great Bloggable Drought Week of 2009.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Friends who have birthdays in April. Yay for celebrating tonight.
2. Yay for young men with ambition - I've hired Chad Neufeld, Clint's friend to do some yard work this month. He's working and going to school full time and still made the time to prune and remove and dig and haul. I bet he doesn't spend 8 - 10 hours a day playing video games...
3. Yay for artistically talented friends who graduate from the Idea 09 program at Cap College ... Check out her class's work here. (Click on the names at the bottom of the home page. (She is Rebekah Joy Plett and this is her website.)

Shalom,

Blog titles that include my name are so exciting!

I hope you love the book as much as I did.
