Ah. Choo.

Itchy, watery eyes and many sneezes later, I'm still not sure if this is a cold or not. And other than working, then driving up to Cypress to pick up Drew and his friends after a day of snowboarding -I haven't really done anything today.

The end.

OK. Maybe I should tackle some of those New Year's questions that I posted a few days ago.
I will endeavor to answer one per day for the next 31 days.

1. What's one thing you could do this year to increase your enjoyment of God?

"enjoyment of God" ?
Interesssssting. I don't know if I've ever thought of God as someone to 'enjoy'.
Enjoy.
Like, 'have fun with'?
Laugh with?
For the past few years, God hasn't been my hangout buddy - He's been my Go To Guy whenever I am worried. Scared. Overwhelmed. He's got the number one speed dial spot on my prayer phone. He receives panicked calls from me daily. Hourly.

Sigh.

Enjoy? What's the one thing I can do to increase my enjoyment of God....
*taps fingertips repeatedly on tabletop*
*wondering...*
Read my Bible more? Pray more? Pray less and listen more? Stop doing things that make me feel ashamed/distant from Him? Ask Him how I can enjoy Him more? Read a book about enjoying God? Make an effort to talk to Him about fun things, not just the freak-me-out-things?

Ideas anyone?
What's the one thing YOU'VE done that has increased your enjoyment of God? Yes, YOU. I am looking right into your eyes. And am waiting for an answer.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Beautiful evening for a drive. Vancouver looked all shimmery and bright from Cypress.
2. Hyacinths. Inside, on my kitchen table. A spot of Spring in the midst of winter.
3. I am thankful for the idea that God wants me to enjoy Him.

Shalom,

Enjoying God...hm..I think every time you drive the boys up to ski you enjoy God just my marveling at the beauty he has given us to enjoy. Or at White Rock, or any place that feels peaceful and full of beauty and just thanking him for it is enjoying him. Then there is things like Creation or a great worship service. There is nothing on this earth like truly worshipping. That is also enjoying God. I think you do it more then you think. Do some enjoying today. Marj
