Still Ploughing My Way Though The Questions...

What single blessing from God do you want to seek most earnestly this year?

Finally, an easy one.
I seek Wisdom. I pray for Wisdom. Everyday.
Parental wisdom.
Financial wisdom.
Relational wisdom.

I feel like such an idiot sometimes.

In what area of your life do you most need growth, and what will you do about it this year?

Trust.
I have issues with trust.
Not only with people, but with God too.
And I don't know what to do about it.

What's the most important trip you want to take this year?

The trip to England is going to be the most expensive one I take this year...
All three boys are joining me ... Max is only allowed one week off this summer, so we'll all fly over there together on July 30. Then he will head back to Canada on Aug 8 and Clint will zip over to France (he's hoping to do some work with MBMSI) while Drew and I remain in Warwick.

I spent 3 hours on Saturday night watching Rick Steeves's travel DVD's re: London and England. I am getting very excited about seeing the Cotswolds, the White Cliffs of Dover, the Tate Gallery, the National Museum, The Thames, St. Paul's Cathedral, Windsor Castle ...

Why is this trip important to me?
Because I am obsessive about making memories. With both Clint and Max not living here anymore, I can't count on us making "everyday" normal memories... if I'm ever to get a photo of the four of us, it will be under special, pre-planned conditions.

And, this trip is also important to me because it feels like it is a bit of a gift from God. I wasn't looking for a house swap. I wasn't even thinking about doing a "big" trip at all this year. And then, out of no-where, this opportunity came and well... I guess I'm going to take advantage of it.

To Andie -

Thanks for the comment on yesterday's post. I had totally forgotten about those books you lent me, so I went hunting for them this afternoon. I found 17 books in the bottom of a cabinet in my bedroom THAT I HAVE NOT READ YET. (And yours were two of them.) So. Time to walk away from the computer to do some reading.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Oy vey. I guess I'm thankful for new technology. I had another ultrasound today, this time to check out things not up quite as high as a gall bladder. And you know what? It was awful. But probably thorough. My internal organs have been photographed more than my face this year. I shoulda asked for pic of my ovaries... new profile shot for facebook.
Gross. I know.
Sorry.

2. Clint and Max stopped by to take some furniture from my house over to Mark's. Max's room is bare there, so he's emptying my house to make his more homey. And then they stayed for supper. And we talked about England. And the entire visit lasted 14 minutes.

3. Pink things.

Shalom,
