Pray-Along. Part 13

(If you're just joining me now, I'm in the midst of a day-long intentional time of prayer. Please join me. I'm praying for my kids, my parents, my friends, my friends' parents, my friends' kids.)

From Power of a Praying Parent:

Lord,
I pray that you would pour out Your Spirit upon us this day and anoint us for all You've called us to be and do. You have said, "Let eacdh one remain with God in that state in which he was called." (I Cor 7:24) May it be so for my children and my parents and my friends and their kids and their parents... may none of us stray from what You have called us to be and do, or try to be something that we are not.

Deliver us from any evil plan of the devil to rob us of life, to steal away our uniqueness and giftedness, to compromise the path you've called us to walk, or to destroy the person You created us to be. May we not be followers of anyone but You, and may we be leaders of people into Your kingdom. Help us to grow into a complete understanding of our authority in Jesus, while retaining submissive and humble spirits.

May the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control grow in us daily. (Gal 5:22) May we find our identity in You, view ourselves as Your instruments, and know that we are complete in You. Give us a vision for our lives when setting goals for the future and a sense of purpose about what You've called us to do.

Help us to see ourselves as You do - from our future and not our past. May we be convinced that Your thoughts toward us are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us hope for the future.  (Jer 29:11) May our commitment to being who You created us to be enable us to grow daily in confidence and Holy Spirit boldness.

Amen.
