You know how when ...

... sometimes after work you have alot of errands to do and you don't get home til around 8:00 pm three nights in a row?
Man.
That wipes a person out, no?

Today's 'running around' destinations included picking up these bad boys from one corner of Langley:

(They are coil somethings (coil overs?) for Drew's car, which has been found, and is being repaired and as soon as Drew's dad gets back from Palm Springs my boy and his expensive toy will be reunited.)

From there we drove 40 minutes to the Fleetwood end of Surrey to get 4 of Drew's 11 cavities filled. While he writhed in pain (or so the story goes), I went to Safeway to get all those things I didn't get at Costco the other night. I have spent one paycheck on stocking up on food for the boy who is now working a physical job and needs nutrients. (Life was easier when I was just feeding Drew. He was happy with cereal and Perogies.)

I don't have a pic of Drew in the dentist or of me at Safeway, but I do have another shot of those car parts that are so important to my youngest:

And then, on our way home, we stopped at Rona to pick up a new grill for my newly fixed 10 year old BBQ. Clint texted me the dimensions and as predicted, they did not have anything that matched. I bought one of everything anyways just in case. And I can always bring them back.

I didn't take a picture of the grills. Or of Clint trying to make them fit. But hey. Lets look at Drew's coily things again:

We got home at 8:00 pm and Clint was starving. He wasn't game for a bowl of cereal. So after unpacking the groceries I started putting together a meal with vegetables.

Meanwhile the weeds keep on growing.
Nasty little things.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Only one more dentist appointment for Drew. He'll get his last 3 fillings done next Wednesday. Yay.
2. For the first time in 2010, my grass clippings, garbage bins and recycling boxes are AT THE CURB the night before pickup! I will not have to run out there in my pj's tomorrow morning at 7:30 am. This is a breakthrough, people.
3. Marshmellowy banana candies. They are like time machines. I had some this evening and zoom - I was 11 years old again.

Shalom,

I had forgotten all about those candies! I loved them as a kid.
