Lucky

Back in June of 2001, I turned 40. My friends had planned a fun evening for me ... dinner at some "cat" in the name restaurant on Granville Island, dessert at "Death by Chocolate" downtown, and then. Then. Then? Then we stopped in Coquitlam to see A Knight's Tale.

My love for Heath started that night. The night I turned 40.
Two nights later, I took my boys to see it. This was their gift to me - the opportunity to see him/the movie again.
Like an addiction to crack cocaine, I needed another hit of Heath (I really don't know what I'm talking about) so I took Sarah and Mandi (my nieces) to see it.

Why am I sharing that intensely personal story?
Because, tonight, while watching Robin Hood with Mandi - I was transported back nine years. And while tonight's movie wasn't pure fun like Knight's Tale, there were some elements that were totally sortof similar. (How both lead characters became knights. How they had a band of brothers. How the bad guys were darkhaired and browneyed. How Mark Addy was in both pics. How they both fell in love with chicks with REALLY long hair.)

Anyways, I really enjoyed it.
Maybe because of the company I was with :)
So. Go see it.
Hope you're lucky like I was and get to watch it with an awesome 21 year old.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. A truck with air conditioning
2. Sermons online
3. Bubble baths
