... I saw it twice.
"Cometh the hour, cometh the man."
I missed that line the first time I saw it. But it seemed profound tonight when I saw Robin Hood again. Cometh the hour, cometh the man seems almost Biblical, no? Like, "for such a time as this"...
Another observation; guys in movies (and real life?) seem to like brave, heroic, strong, capable women. Women who plow the fields and go into battle. (Diana Gabaldon's Claire is that sort of woman. And look who she got; Jamie of the red hair and plaid skirt. Which, in case you're wondering, is hot with a capital H. So, Hot.)
So, at midnight, while I'm standing in the rain, filling up my truck with gas, I said to myself, "this is brave and strong of me. Look at me looking after myself."
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Friends who like to see movies on rainy Thursday nights. And don't mind having dinner before and dessert after. Thanks, Andrea. Your hair looks super cute. I think I forgot to mention that.
2. The sound of rain. Not a fan of the FEEL of rain, but I pretty much love the sound of it. Especially in a truck with a sun-roof... pitter patter drip drop. Love it.
3. My sister.
