Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Last night's Free Public Lecture at Regent on Friendships. So good. And so was the conversation on the hour-long drive home. Friendships = Spiritual Discipline (?!) Interesssting.
2. The internet. At work this past week, I planned a dinner for 12 in Chicago, am in the midst of planning a light luncheon for 100 in Cape Town, South Africa, and next week I'll be planning a workshop for 25 in LA. Can't imagine doing this without the internet.
3. Despite the set back on Monday morning, when at 6:15 am (the "I'm going to sleep in" day) I got a call from Lizzie in Coventry, England that the vehicle she was hoping to secure for me is not available and she didn't think she'd be able to get an automatic for me... it is now looked after. I will be driving a full size van. In a country with narrow roads and tiny parking lots. BUT IT'S AN AUTOMATIC.
Shalom,
