Golden

Globes.

I heart them.

Wishing I'd gotten home earlier from grocery shopping so that I could have seen the red carpet and the opening monologue.

You sure can tell alot about a person by whom they thank in their acceptance speeches, eh?

Some leave me flat. Others have me in tears.

Scarlett Johanssens' dress was beautiful.
Christian Bale deserved that award. He was convincing. However, Geoffery Rush could have legitimately won too. What kind of accent does Christian have?
That second presenter had a great grey dress.
Katey Sagal sure has had a successful, varied career, eh?
Ashton Kutcher's dad: Bruce Willis. Ha.
Helen Mirren is stunning. I want to be just like when I grow up.
I'm delighted that Chris (Kurt) from Glee won. His character has had a great storyline this season.
Olivia Wilde's dress is gorgeous. She looks like a princess. Who is she, by the way?
Paul Giamatti's salute to Canada was nice.
Susan Lynch's thank you sounded like something her character, Sue, would say. "falsely humble"
I really didn't think Johnny Depp would win. And what's with the gum chewing?
Not a fan of Sandra Bullock's bangs.
SO happy Colin Firth won. And his speech was lovely. (Although I woulda loved to have heard a speech from Mark Wahlberg.) CF Trivia: Lived outside Maple Ridge, British Columbia from 1989 to 1995 with then girlfriend, actress Meg Tilly.
Natalie Portman's speech was a little silly, no?

I definitely enjoyed The Social Network but not sure it was a better movie than The Fighter or the The King's Speech.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Clint. He came and pressed a button and now my family room TV works.
2. Hour long midnight walk in the rain last night with Mandi.
3. A ticked off to do list. Christmas stuff is stored away. Valentine stuff is making my house look love-filled. Jars of soup, containers of spaghetti sauce and home made biscuits boxed up for my bachelor son.

Shalom,

I always thought Christian Bale was American. I was wrong...apparently he was born in Wales! crazy.

And I didn't recognize Sandy. wow.

I remember Olivia Wilde from Beverly Hills 90210 when the show was really faltering. I think she has definitely moved on to bigger and better things. I'm not sure what because the only thing on my tv these days is Thomas the Train and Wonder Pets.
