The Pursuit of Perfect Sunsets
I brought along my camera (natch), the third book in the Hunger Games Series (SERIOUSLY addicting. LOVING these disturbing stories.) and ended up watching the Canada vs USA Jr. Hockey game. (We won. Yay Canada)
Mount Baker was stunning. As per usual.
This is likely the last season they'll need me to drive.
By next year, they'll all have their licenses and I'll get to stay home and worry/pray.
So I'm embracing this. With both hands.
Three things I'm thankful for:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not lean on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will direct your paths.
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything your land produces. Then he will fill your barns with grain and your vats will overflow with the finest wine. (Or, in my case, "your kitchen will be well stocked and you'll always have gas in your tank.)
And my favorite, especially at this time of year, when I have empty calendars at both home at work:
Don't lose sight of good planning and insight. Hang on to them, for they fill you with life and bring you honor and respect. They keep you safe on your way and keep your feet from stumbling. You can lie down without fear and enjoy pleasant dreams.
I LOVE THIS. Planning and being organized is a GOOD thing. It keeps you on a path. It helps you sleep.
2. I'm thankful for many, many days for no-rain.
3. I'm thankful for snow. Mountains. Sunsets. Teenagers. Clear roads. Good books. Winning hockey games. My life.
Shalom,

Beautiful and serene.
I'm reading a book called The Golden Mean by Annabel Lyon. I don't usually read novels but I'm loving this one and I think you would enjoy it.
