Didja notice?
Over there ----> on the side somewhere?

A link.
A link to my pinterest account.

No point heading over there yet. My boards are empty. I haven't pinned anything yet.

Didja notice?
I'm speaking a new language: Boards. Pinning.

(Why did I do this? I was home alone tonight with just my computer to keep me company. So I blog surfed my way over to Boo Mama's site and THIS posting (and the accompanying comments) pushed me over the edge.)

Also new: Didja notice?
Over there -----> on the side somewhere?

A link.
A link to my facebook album containing the photos I'm taking for the 30 Day Photography Challenge.

No point heading over there yet. I've only posted 3 pics.
But by the end of the month Whoa, twill be full.

Do you know what this is?

I do.

Know what?

It's completely awesome working with someone under 30.
They are so tech savy. And if that someone is not related to you - oh my goodness, they have so much patience explaining things to you.

According to Wikipedia: QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response code) is a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) designed to be read by smartphones. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded may be text, a URL, or other data.

I know. SO WHAT?
But like, it's cool.

Still trying to think of reasonable applications for it, but that's beside the point. It's gimmicky and futuristic and I know what it is.

We had another Kolbe meeting at work today. Do you remember reading about my Kolbe party? Go on, click that link and re-read that post.

I'll wait.

Done?

OK. So. I am a 8 4 6 3.
On my printed sheets, explaining WHO I am, these comments are made:

Jane, you've probably been asked your whole life: Why do you put off making repairs and attacking mechanical problems?
(That number 3, on the end, indicates that I am not energized by using tools and making/fixing things. I am better at IMAGINING how something should look/be.)

Jane, you are excellent at documenting information, defining priorities, and can be counted on to research historical details and become an expert in areas of special interest.
(That number 8, on the front, means that I am very diligent in finding facts. I need information.)

YAWN.

Seriously. No wonder I'm still single. I am excellent at documenting information? WHO WANTS TO BE GOOD AT THAT? And NO WONDER there was a hole in my roof.

I reprinted Max and Clint's profiles to see what their's said.
Clint?
- excellent at coming up with unique strategies
- excellent at prioritizing opportunities
- excellent at dealing with the unknown in complex problems
He is the go-to person when elaborate projects are in trouble.

Yeah. Cool.

Max?
is someone who excels when working on a team by mediating or facilitating. He is at his best when he is pulling forces together, bridging differences, responding to needs, and blending abilities into productive efforts.

I KNOW! How awesome is he?

(Drew was pretty young when we did this. I'll get him to redo it in a year or two.)

By the way? That other 3 in my profile. Indicates that I don't like filing.
I love the way this Kolbe thingy knows me so well.

I think I'd like to see a Kolbe dating site. Where you choose mates based on their Kolbe scores. I'd be looking for someone with the numbers: 6 5 7 8

He would need information (as opposed to just the bottom line), he'd appreciate and maintain systems and procedures, he'd be a bit of a risk taker AND HE'D LOVE USING TOOLS. LIKE HAMMERS AND TOILET PLUNGERS.

And me? What would I bring to the relationship? I would define our priorities and document our lives digitally. On my blog.
And sometimes I would clean the kitchen.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Clint. He drove up to the cabin today to clean out the fridge and take the lawnmower away for repairs. The 24 year old version of Clint is so much nicer than the 17 version was.

2. Another gloriously sunny day. And uber warm evening. And I love it. So much.

3. I absolutely am thankful that for two days in a row I didn't have to wake Drew for school.

Shalom,
