Good News

After years of trying to get out of my marriage with Telus (that cellphone contract that Mark's former secretary set up for me 18 years ago) TODAY WAS THE DAY. The stars were in alignment, the paperwork was filed, the deal was done. I am freeeeee.

It feels good.
One More Item checked off my list.

The very helpful guy in the service department at Dam's remembered me from the previous day when I called first thing this morning. As I shared my tragedy with him, he interrupted me and said, "Wait a minute, didn't you just buy this truck? It's a 2008, right? I'll check for you. There's a chance it'll be covered by your drive train warranty."

Drive Train Warranty?
My new favorite three words.

I'll know on Friday afternoon. Yes, God is going to be tired of hearing me pray about this until then.

I have another job interview next week. I'm a little nervous. I'm losing confidence as the days tick by; just watching it slip away has become a summer activity.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Three FIVE things I'm thankful for:
1. Sweet Danica wondered if we could have dinner tonight. (!) So, she and Drew and Max and I had some delicious Olive Garden grub.
2. My dad's had a number of guests this week. Thanks, y'all.
3. Messages that are exactly applicable to my current situation.  "Is your life not turning out like you planned?Bloom anyway." THIS ONE is pretty excellent too, if you're suffering/in pain/grieving.
4. My dad's pickup truck has been parked in my driveway all month, just waiting to be driven again. So I am not at all inconveinced by having my beloved Escape in the shop.
5. Nothing but summer weather for the rest of the week.
Shalom,
Hey, are you memorizing verses along with me?
Psalm 37:4,5
Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him and he will do this.
