Up to my neck
in warm water.
Sun on my face.
Gentle breeze rustling the palm trees.
Sky? Mostly cloudy.
But some blue.
Walking,
Walking,
Walking
across the pool.
One end to the other.
Never going to the deep end,
or the shallow.
Staying
Up to my neck.
And then.
Then I wondered.
What would it feel like to let go?
And tilt my head back?
And get my hair wet?
And let my feet drift?
What would that feel like?
What would it feel like,
not having my feet touching the solid bottom?
What would it feel like,
to have a wet body and a wet head?
What would it feel like,
to let go.
What
would
it
feel
like?
And then.
I did it.
I rested my head on the water
and my feet floated up.
And there I lay.
Giggling.
Thank you, God, for this week.
Thank you for this place, these people, this home, the ocean, the sand, the waves, the wind, the storms, the conversations, and the way You are working in all of our lives.
Please be with those we love.
Surround them with Your angels. Protect them. Give them strength. Remind them of Your love.
Your will be done.
And thankyouthankyouthankyou for loving me.
Amen.
