Lorel taught me how to use the Manual setting on my camera in order to take lightning pics. Set the shutter speed to BULB and hold it open for about 30 seconds.
Accck. So fun.
Lightning storms last for 4 - 5 hours here. And they are WILD. Non-stop flashing.
We made this for lunch today:
Pineapple/Coconut milk smoothie
Freshly made salsa
Freshly made guacamole
I could eat this every day and never get tired of it.
(Breakfast was fresh pineapple and fresh mango.)
This is the off-season. There is one other group in our building.
And from I can tell, there is no one staying at this resort, next door:
View from master bedroom deck. |
This is the sun, slipping into the ocean:
And this is what happened to the sky a few minutes later:
And then a few minutes after that?
This was the backdrop to our evening meal. We sat on the deck and just watched God paint the sky for us.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. The opportunity to be here.
2. Affirming, positive, wisdom-filled conversations.
3. Amazing meals.
