Schnurfle.

I'm back to about 85%, so as long as I don't do heavy exercise or try to sing, I can breathe without coughing.

Was invited to hang out at the beach last night. This was our email correspondence:

I cough a lot.
Just so you know.

See you in a couple hours.

I talk a lot.
Just so you know.

Hahaha.
We haven't seen each other in about a month.
She had much to share. And I got to practice 'listening'.

I mean, really listening
We walked a couple miles along the shore, the tide was out, the sun was setting, the pier looked glorious, we ate fish n chips at an outdoor patio, and I didn't barely say a word. (Well, not in comparison.) :)

And not only did I speak little, I also, tragically, forgot to put my newly charged battery back in my camera. And I left my phone at her house. So I had NO photo-taking device on me.

My shutter finger twitched all evening. The colors? Were spell-binding. The reflection of the sun in the tide-pools was amazing. The glow in the air was magical. And all I could do was 'be in the moment' and not 'record the moment'. Which is something I don't do often.

It was an interesting experience.
If I didn't take a picture of it, did it really happen?

Watched a movie after that, that I can't recommend strongly enough that you don't watch: "AustenlandObsessed with Pride and Prejudice (1995), a woman travels to a Jane Austen theme park in search for her perfect gentleman.

But I DO highly recommend watching this; Kevin Bacon's entrance onto The Tonight Show. SO so fun. I loved that movie. And that song. And may have been dancing in my bedroom at 2 am with my earphones in my ears, while attached to my laptop, which was plugged into the wall. So the dancing wasn't frantic is what I'm saying.

I really need a music source down here.

Three things I'm thankful for:

1. The 80's
2. Happy music that makes me smile and wiggle.
3. Soft kleenex

Shalom,
xo
