Hearts

I've been changing my profile pic on Facebook every 24 hours since Feb 1.
Every night before I go to bed, I post a new heart image:

It's my way of decorating for Valentine's Day seeing I don't have a house to get all decked out for the season.

That last one?
The Paper Quilled one?
Sparked a conversation (actually the second conversation this week) about a Craft Night. Haha.

I guess I used to do about 3 - 4 a year in my Murrayville house. And it's been 18 months since I've hosted anything creative.

And my soul is needing to be surrounded with bits of paper and spots of glue and pointy instruments and maybe some glittery sparkles and possibly some paint or even just crayons. And girlfriends. And talking.

So.

Maybe I'll figure out a way to make it work here.

Because this page on google images - was darn inspiring, let me tell you.

I finally took the last Christmas tree off my file cabinet at work this week. There is still flocking all over the floor.

And then ten minutes later, I put up the Valentine's decorations I've made over the years on my dining room table:

They look better in a house with softer lighting than they do in my office with the fluorescents.

Its the thought/effort that counts.

:)

Three things I'm thankful for:

1. My first job - The Hobby Hut, as a 16 year old. What a creative place to learn about retail.
2. The Billie's Country years. RICH with creativity.
3. Friends (and even kids) who don't mind sitting around a table and making stuff.

Shalom,
xo
