My Favorite Day in November So Far

So.
Mondays are my least favorite day of the week.
And November is my least favorite month of the year.

And yet? This first Monday in November? Has been all kinds of wonderful awesomeness.

First of all...

This is what it looked like this morning as I stood on the deck inhaling fresh air while the Fixer Guys repaired the broken sump (aka "shit moving") pump in the basement.

By noon they were done.
Yay for plumbers who repair things and get water, both clean and not so, moving again.

What a glorious golden day.

SO beautiful.

And this is the scene that greeted me as I drove up to my work building...

What a glorious red day.

And this is what the view from my office includes:

And at about 4 pm? The sun stopped lighting up the leaves.

So while I sat at my desk and made lists, the sun was giving the clouds some attention:

And then it got real dark and it as time to go home.

And as lovely as all that was, it was nothing compared to what was coming next.

Haha.

Dinner with my boys - we celebrated Max's 25th at the Keg.

He bought himself a present...
New shoes.

My boys? Love footwear.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the table, Clint was reading a book.

Because that's the other thing about Oboys.

They read.

Then it was Drew's turn.
:)

This is another common sight:

Cell phones are apart of all conversations, as any question comes up about anything, someone will google an answer. They need to know. Immediately. And then they share the findings.

In this case, we were talking about driverless cars, artificial intelligence, robotics and Clint shared a video of a Lego mindstorm robot that can do a rubik's cube in just a few minutes.

Then Clint got my flash to work and took a few pics of the birthday boy:

When the Billy Miner Pie was brought to our table, Amy started singing happy birthday.
We?
Have never done that before.

Clint and Drew were good sports and chimed in.
As did my mom and I.

We?

Sounded like pure evil. We did not hit the right, or even amongst us, the same, note once.

And the conversation amongst the three of them continued.
And turned silly.

And the laughter just got out of control.

Sigh.

Such a good evening.

Three things I'm thankful for:

1. My boys.
2. Mondays
3. November

Shalom,
xo

I loved your red tree pictures! They are beautiful. All the photos on your blog have encouraged me to post more pics too and it definitely makes for a better read. Pictures really are worth a thousand words.
The family birthday supper looked fun! The older I get the more I think that that's what life is all about. You've done a good job, mom.
