Twins

So back in December, Kim was in Vietnam and Cambodia posting photos which prompted my conversation with God about those two countries.

Two months later, God responded to that conversation through Sue, who randomly invited me to join her on her business trip to Vietnam and Cambodia.

While we were in Asia, whenever Sue and I would walk side-by-side, my mind would play tricks on me, and I had to remind myself that I wasn't, in fact, walking with Kim (whom I often walk the seawall with).  They're both tall, fit, and dark haired, and I feel short n fat next to either/both of them. And I associate both of them with Vietnam and Cambodia, so you can see my confusion...

Anyway, tonight, Sue picked me up in her time machine, which transported me back to my teenaged years when I used to have a go cart.  (Both vehicles being 2" off the ground n all ...) And when we got on the freeway and drove next to a semi, I felt oddly exposed, quite vulnerable and very very small.

So. Much. Fun.

We were on our way to meet Kim.

And eat Pho. (Pronounced Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa)

Haha.
While we sat and talked, I was having a Divine Twilight Moment (the Rod Sterling Twilight, not the Stephenie Meyer Twilight); it just felt like God wanted these two to meet.

I don't think they were seeing the resemblance while we ate, but as we stood next to Sunshine just before we left, I took their pic and noted that they could be twins. (It was especially obvious when Kim let her hair down.) They were even dressed alike.

See what I mean?

Three things I'm thankful for:

1. Nights like these.
2. Vietnamese Chicken Noodle Soup
3. Long legged, dark haired, friendly friends.

Shalom,
xo
