So, as you'll recall, I left the lake at 5 to attend Hildegard's 80th birthday party in Tsawwassen.
I thought I'd be back by 10, but I underestimated how late into the night those 80 year olds party.
Thanks, Krahn clan, for a lifetime of good memories.
Happy birthday, Gma. You still rock our worlds.
By the time I got back to the lake, and snuggled in bed, it was after 2.
I read another 50 pages then called it a day.
I slept in this morning, obvs.
And by the time I came downstairs my read-a-thon mates had gone home to their babies.
Haha.
I am the shittiest read-a-thon host ever in the history of the world.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Weekends that are overloaded with good things.
2. Not as much rain fell as was anticipated.
3. That mountain outside my window? Is exploding with colour.

If you have another readathon, PLEASE INVITE ME. I WOULD STRAIGHT UP FLY OUT. I need friends who think that's fun. Allison told me the other day that she wished there was a club at school where you just get together and read. I smiled.
