(I'm gonna try to post something everyday for the entire month.)
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. We went from having the wettest, most snowiest, most winteriest winter in the history of forever, right into having the westtest, most awfulest March since time began. FOLLOWED BY THE FOURTH WETTEST APRIL SINCE 1492. It says so, right here. But we survived; so I'm thankful for our collective coping mechanisms. We watched Netflix and movies and TV. (Thank you actors and writers and directors for keeping us entertained during The Long Winter and The Wet Spring.) We read books and newspapers and magazines and the internet. (Thank you writers and editors and publishers for keeping us informed and interesting.) And we walked, talked, sat in coffee shops and went shopping. (Thank you service/retail/ folks for working evening hours so some of us could whine about the weather in a warm, dry environment.)
2. I am thankful for doctors and nurses and medical care workers. Jimmy Kimmels thingy here is very moving. I'm not used to seeing men tear up. He got me in the feels with this:
3. I am thankful for the opportunity Clint had to be employed by the folks who brought TED to Vancouver. Looking forward to watching the TEDTalks online as soon as they're available. Proud of Vancouver for being the beautiful city is is...
Thankful for friends who don't mind walking around looking for famous people with me during the week all the famous people were in town...
Shalom,
xo
