Hmmmm. Referring back to the options listed on Advent 1, today I can choose from:
1. My favorite memory of the year.
2. Where would I go if I could time travel for 5 minutes only?
3. What's one thing I overcame this year?
Which one would you answer?
The answer to the first one came to mind very quickly and it's midnight, so I'll take the easy way out tonight. The other two require some noodling...
In mid-May I got an invitation from my kids (designed and delivered and probably organized by Mackenzie) for an event to take place on June 1.
TWO WEEKS before my birthday, a plan had been hatched! Unheard of. Never has happened before. I was so delighted. And maybe a bit teary.
It's still my all-time favorite musical. I love every single song. And it was so special seeing it again with my kids who may or may not have been as enthused. It would've been a perfect day if Karyn had been in town (or if Langley Concrete hadn't been sold the day before... haha) but all things considered, it was my favorite memory of 2025.
(Mind you, it's only Dec 3. Still a chance for something to budge this memory from it's top spot.)
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Good memories.
2. Questions that make you think. I'm still wondering if I've overcome anything this year. Or where I'd time travel to...
Like, would I want to see something important in history actually take place? Like, uh, visit the little town of Bethlehem roughly 2000 years ago? Or be on the streets when Elizabeth was being crowned Queen of England? Or use my five minutes to try to change a tragic historical event? Or use the opportunity to buy stocks in Amazon? I dunno.
3. I'm thankful for Southside Church in Wack:
4. I'm thankful for THIS:
Thanks for dropping by:
