First Day of Fall

At 2:24 this afternoon, according to my calendar, summer silently slunk away. In my heart though, I said good bye to my favorite sunny season on the labour day weekend and grieved in a not-so-pretty way during the first week of September. So, it's passing was anticpated and anticlimatic.

However, if the weather forecasts are to be believed, we can expect temperatures to hit 25 degrees this weekend. We're talking 'shave your legs' weather.Think I might just head down to the beach on Sunday afternoon. With a lawnchair, camera,Oprah magazine and a tall strawberry blended lemonade with a double shot of raspberry beverage from Buckies. . It's one of those things on my "wish list of places I want to go this summer" that I never got around to doing.

And.

Ahem...

I need to set the record straight.

My last blog entry caused a flurry of long distance phone calls beween Phoenix and Surrey and no doubt Chilliwack.

My dad called me to clarify: "Uncle Johnny never did say that your dirty house bothered him. I THOUGHT that he must of been thinking that because Auntie 'gatha keeps their place so spotless. I was the one embarassed for him to have to work around all that dried concrete mud."

So, I've changed my post from yesterday to more accurately depict how the whole event transpired.
Thank you Uncle Johnny for loving me enough to help my dad fix my furnace AND to put in a gas line for a natural gas BBQ. I am glad I'm related to you. You've spoiled me over the years and I am appreciative.
Aunt Agatha. I love you too. You are my favorite great-aunt.
I'm sorry if my cheeky post yesterday hurt you...I was trying to poke fun at myself, not at any of my family members.

The whole messy house thing is MY issue more than anybody's.
I'm in a 12 step program to overcome my phobia.

Step one.. "Make a list of all persons I have harmed and be willing to make amends to them all."

I'll get to that once I've finished cleaning.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Six months after it was initially supposed to kick in, I now have dental and extended medical coverage. Bring on the root canals.
2. I don't live in any hurricane's anticpated path.
3. Oh my goodness, tomorrow is Friday. How wonderful is that? The new People magazine will be out. We can find out what Brad and Angelina have been up to this week.

Take care,
