And The Big Day Arrives

On Saturday, Aug 12 at 5 pm, Neal walked his mom, Jo-Anne down the aisle...

And mere minutes later, she was married to Bill...

A touching, love-filled ceremony involving their grown children from previous marraiges.

The cake she made herself.

OH. MY. GOODNESS. It was as delicious as it looks... chocolate with cream cheese icing (with a hint of citrus. Orange maybe? Yum.)

Jo-Anne's kids: Neal and Sandi.

She kicked her shoes off as soon as the ring was on her finger.

Meanwhile, back at the cabin, the kids were preparing for their final week at camp. They were thinking up pranks, planning the Staff Video special features and angry that I forced them to stay at Cultus with me for the weekend. When will weekends at the lake NOT start with one or all of my offspring angry with me for wanting to spend time with them at the lake?

Three things I'm thankful for:

1. That after a mild and damp week, today turned out fantastic. Really awesome weather-wise.

2. That I had two friends enjoy the sunshine with me today.

3. That God created colours.

Shalom,

Oh my gosh, how wonderful to see love blossom again for two 'slightly older' people. Ya never can tell . . . I wish these two special people the best the Lord gives. May His face shine upon them, and upon their good friends who decorated their wedding. Praying for lots of kick-off-the-shoes-time for the author of Pix 'n Prose.
