The wind (again! Have we broken any wind storm records this year?) caused a power outage at 'the barn' (the facility our youth uses on Tuesday nights for its Bible studies) so tonight's (the first meeting of 2007) was cancelled.
Max suggested to a few of the guys that they could hang out at our place.
A mere ten seconds later, my family room was full of Nintendo playing teenaged boys.
Brendan, loving the smell of the bouncy balls.I was on my way upstairs to clean out my closet when a friend called and said she was on her way over for a cup of tea.
Neither of us are photogenic; you'll have to imagine us sitting here, discussing our kids, how there's never enough money, and whether or not the morning after pill is really an abortion.Everyone's gone now.
Party is over.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Spontaneous get-togethers
2. Power that stays on during windstorms.
3. Deep conversations.
