A Busy Saturday. The first of many ...

Started it off by having the breakfast of champions. And then over to dad and mom's place. Where we packed a few boxes.
I think we sealed up 27 boxes of fine china and fancy dishes.

Clint and a stack of lacy doilies.

Max, wandering.

View from the front entry hall through the living room to the dining room.

Looking at what used to be the pool table room.

Now it's full of craft supplies.

Everyone chipped in.

Dad was to sort through "his" desk drawer.

It was overwhelming.

So he stretched out and napped.

When we left at 4 pm, we had packed 140 boxes.

The house is now a maze of boxes. I estimate we have another 200 to pack.

My old bedroom.

We all went over to the new place to take a peak.
The kitchen is awesome.

Daryl did an awesome job designing it.
And mom has good taste.

The "eating area".

The den.

The living room and dining room.

The basement. New pool table was delivered this week.

Ensuite.

My mom hates bi-fold doors, so all the bedrooms have double extra wide closet doors. Don't they look great?

The 'back stairs.
Afterwards, Andie and I went to see Children of Men. Oh. My. Goodness. I sat at the edge of my seat for most of this flick. Oy, talk about intense.

Then we went over to East Side Mario's for a bite. I wanted a hot fudge brownie. Had a ceasar salad.
As I turned onto my road I saw a line of cars parked in front of my house, all with their reflective green "N's" glowing in my headlights. Lord of the Rings marathon night, part 2.
And so ends the third day of February, my late grandfather's birthday.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. How helpful the kids were today with all the packing.
2. How beautiful my parent's new place is turning out.
3. How wonderful it is to have a friend who listened to me go on and on and on tonight.
Shalom,
