Pray-Along. Part Eight

(If you're just joining me now, I'm in the midst of a day-long intentional time of prayer. Please join me. I'm praying for my kids, and all those kids that God has laid on my heart to love.)

From Hillsong's Mighty to Save and Praying the Scriptures for your Teenagers/ Power of a Or Praying Parent:

Everyone needs compassion,
Love that's never failing;
Let mercy fall on me.

Everyone needs forgiveness,
The kindness of a Saviour;
The Hope of nations.

Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save
.

Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

So take me as You find me,
All my fears and failures,
Fill my life again.

I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in,
Now I surrender.

My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

Shine your light and let the whole world see,
We're singing for the glory of the risen King...Jesus

Dear God,

Lift them out of the slimy pit they are in - out of the mud and mire. Give them a firm place to stand, and put a new song in their mouths... a hymn of praise to you. May all who seek to harm them be turned back in confusion and disgrace. (Psalm 40:2,3, 14)

Teach my kids to fear You and worship You and listen to Your voice. Do not let them rebel against Your commands, but cause them to follow you, so that all will be well in their lives. (I Sam 12:14)

Bring people into my kids' lives who will gently instruct them. Grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, so that they will escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. (2Tim 2: 25,26)

Today, let my kids listen to Your voice. Do not let them harden their hearts, rebelling against You and testing Your patience Lord. Do not be angry because of their stubbornness; instead soften their hearts and protect them from the deceitfulness of sin. Let them be faithful, putting their trust in You just as firmly as they did when they first believed. (Hebrews 37:14)

Save my kids and help them. Deliver them according to Your great love. Give my family the help we need; with You we will gain victory as You trample over our enemies. (Psalm 108: 12, 13)

Call my kids back to You and heal their wayward hearts. (Jer 3:22)

Lord, I bring my kids before You and ask that You would help them grow into a deep understanding of who You are. Open their hearts and bring them to a full knowlegde of the truth about You, Lord. You have said in Your word, "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9) I pray for that kind of faith for my children. May they call you their Savior, be filled with Your Holy Spirit, acknowledge You in every area of their lives and choose to always follow You and Your ways. Help them to firmly believe that Jesus laid down His life for them so that they might have life eternally and abundantly now. Help them to understand the fullness of Your forgiveness so that they will not live in guilt or condemnation.

I pray that they will live a fruitful life, ever increasing in knowledge of You. May they always know Your will, have spiritual understanding, and walk in a manner that is pleasing in Your sight. You have said in Your word that You will pour out Your spirit on my offspring (Isaiah 44:3) I pray that You pour out Your Spirit on Clint, Max and Drew today.

Thank you, Lord, that  You care about their eternal future even more than I do and that it is secure in You. In Jesus' name I pray that my kids will not doubt or stray from the path You have for them all the days of their lives.

Amen
