Fav Day

I love Thursdays. Good things always happen on this day.

Things I'm thankful for:
1. Max worked with me today. At the office. He sat at a computer, in his own cubicle. And I loved every minute of it. He mostly did data entry and didn't whine or complain once. Like me. Oy, but I know how to bag about data entry. :)

2. Drew called me this afternoon, enthusiastic about a project he's working on for school. Guess how many times in my 22 years of being a school-aged mom this has happened. Comon. GUESS.



Correct.
This is the first time.



It's a wondrous thing to have a teen-aged child excited about something he is learning.

3. A LONG overdue coffee with a friend this evening. Hours and hours of catching up and why oh why don't we do that more often? I love that we meandered from light to deep and happy to sad and back again effortlessly. I am thankful for the level of trust we have to share and care for the burdens that we're both carrying. I love that she's wise and I always learn something from her. I can count on her to challenge my thinking and have me thinking that it's time to stretch the boundaries of my comfort zone.

Today?
I feel rich.
Financially poor, but rich in every single other way.
