Young Love

They got married today.
"Finally!"
When he, Garrett, was 9, he met her (10 year old Kara) in the line-up for cookies at church. He told his mom that he was going to marry her someday. Fast forward ten years and voila - FINALLY. Today was the day.

It was a wonderful, warm celebration of their love for each other. And their families' love for them.
Her lace dress was gorgeous.
His smile was contagious.
The church was elegantly decorated.
The food was delicious.
And the speeches were heartwarming. And caused a tear or two. Or possibly more. OK. Yes. I had a wet face for most of the reception. It's been an emotional week. (We said good bye to another team member at work. And for good measure, even though I'll still be working til May, they 'did' my goodbye this week too. Oy vey.)

Anyway, the wedding was wonderful.
Drew and Danica attended as well, so we chatted in detail, about the details, the whole way home.
To view the rest of my candid/casual photos of Kara and Garrett's wedding, check out the facebook album.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. There are people who still believe in getting married.
2. Tulips.
3. Young love.
