1. Nothing has seemed 'normal' since Friday afternoon. I finally figured out why. I didn't buy/read the People Magazine on Friday night like I usually do. That has been remedied. I picked one up this evening. My world should be back on it's regular orbit in a few hours.
2. I thought I was done with the crying. And then today? At the bank? The teller was very kind and asked an innocent question and Oh My Goodness. I really shouldn't be out and about in public.
3. I met Drew at the house (Heh. It's "the" house now, not 'my' house. Did you notice that?) this evening to pick up a few things and found knives and crow bars and heavy metal things strategically placed at various entry points. I am SO thankful those thieves didn't come back on Sunday night while Clint and Max were going all posse on me. It would have been messy and this story would have gone on for days.
4. Weren't those first 3 good? I know, right?
Hmmmm. Thinking of another random thing....
I went shopping today to spend insurance money. I intended on replacing my laptop. Instead I bought 3 pairs of shoes, two books and an iphone.
I HAVE AN IPHONE. I was the last person on the planet to get one. But I'm now in with the cool kids.
Uhm. I don't know how to make a call. So until I get a few lessons, it's best if people just call me.
5. Surprisingly, it appears that diamonds have devalued in the past 18 years. By possibly half. Apparently the value of diamonds is directly linked to the American economy. (Which was much stronger in '94). Now's the time to stock up on glittering rocks.
6. I think this just might be it. It's late and I can't think of any more random things.
1. This quiet, restful place to live.
2. A fun, interesting evening at Choo Choo's. Thanks, A and K for the great conversation. Can we do that again?
3. It's always a good day when I connect with all three kids. THANK GOODNESS for technology.
4. My dad had a good day. (I personally didn't see him, but my mom and Jule were there.)
5. My mom likes having me here. Not everyone is as lucky as I am.
Shalom,
