Hi Laura.

Haha.

The cute curly haired girl from work (Laura) told me today that she reads this. Man. I wish I had something to say.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight, while most of my co-workers were in Chilliwack setting up for the Fight Right Marriage Tour event, I was at the Spaghetti Factory with my kids. And while I was (mostly bored) watching Man of Steel in reserved Ultra AVX seats at Colossus, my team was being educated and entertained by Drs Les and Leslie Parrott.
I sat beside Max, who was not a fan of the movie. Even before we got there. He gave a verbal running negative critique throughout the entire show.
He did have a point.
It was a lousy screenplay.
So, the point of the story is that Superman is boring, but hanging out with my kids is always good.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Have you seen this? It's only a minute long and you totally should watch it. It explains everything you wanted to know about men and women and communication:

"Don't try to fix it. I just need you to listen." Every man has heard these words. And they are the law of the land. No matter what.

Too funny, right?

Yes, I'm still packing.
I'm not enjoying the process.
Waaaah, waaaah, waaaah.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Speaking of packing, the folks who bought my house left me a phone message yesterday, so I responded today via email. I was courteous in answering their questions and maybe a little bit 'like a teenage boy' in my language. (Drew hates that sometimes when I write things I sound like 'a high school guy'.)
Anyways, she (Valerie) wrote back and told me she loved my personality.
Hahaha.
And then she told me about all the renovations they are planning on doing.
The kitchen? Is getting completely re-done. They are taking out the wall behind the fridge and opening up/removing the pantry.Which will end up widening the entryway to dining room.
And the ensuite and main bathroom are getting complete re-do's. They plan on totally changing the layout and replacing everything.
She invited me to drop by at Christmas time to take a look at all the changes.
Oh, and the thing that she loved most about the house? MY HUGE FOYER. She adored the space.
So there. Last year everyone who looked at the house was so very critical... and for her? It was exactly what she was hoping for. I knew I couldn't be the only person in the world that loves large entry ways.
Her and I could probably be friends.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. My beautiful house is sold. Looking forward to my next chapter. After work I checked out three more houses. How do I feel about having a northern facing back yard that backs onto the freeway?
I'm glad I don't have to choose that one.
2. Evenings with my kids. And I am thankful for Danica's response to any invitation that I extend. So much enthusiasm. I love that girl.
3. Tomorrow is Saturday. And I am sleeping in.
Shalom,
